GOOD HOPE NURSERY – Cape Point

Good Hope Nursery was established a quarter of a century ago in Hout Bay, and moved to its present location over the road from Cape Point Nature Reserve, Cape Town, South Africa in 1986.

Our fantastic fynbos experience includes an indigenous retail nursery, a farmstall, a fynbos ecolodge accomodation, a playground for children, fynbos walks, quarterly events, even landscaping and garden design. We also wholesale to other nurseries including Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Table Mountain National Parks.

We have have over 1000 indigenous species on our data base, ranging from local fynbos to sub tropical trees, and the majority of these are grown at the nursery under harsh Cape Point weather conditions which ensures that they are resilient enough to grow in any garden!

I (farmwifeworkerbusybeemotherloverbakercandlestickmaker) am married to Taskmaster and have one child KingofthePlayground age 4 and pregnant with no 2. Extended family include Pollox, Cody & Lani the dogs, Nootnoot & Leira the Cats, 25 crazy chickens, Jackson the billygoat, The Two baby goats, 4 ducks, Patches the Shetland pony, Owner lady, Owner man, Sister 1 and Sister 2, Sister in law and many friends-and-relations.
